Heres the scoop,I bought some kegs a few weeks ago and tried the sellers homebrew. He gave me a bottle of his IIPA and we discussed homebrewing and drank. It was good. Real good. So good that i wrote him a few days later and got the recipe. I will probably be brewing next weekend and wanted to see what you guys thought about the recipe and maybe if someone could put it in promash or something for me? Also i am planning a 10gal batch of this so i am assuming i should double the recipe?here it is:5gal batch Malt18lbs american 2row1.66lbs amber malt1 Jar Molasses the 12 to 16oz size (not sure it did much more than raise the gravity but I added it in last 5min) Hops2oz Amarillo 0-90 min1oz Simcoe 0-90 min1oz Warrior 0-90 min 1oz Amarillo dry hop in secondary.5 Simcoe dry hop in secondary.5 Warrior dry hop in secondary Cal ale slurry from pale ale brewed week before 90 min boilAny thoughts and advice would be appreciated! I'd suggest you not use backstrap molasses. Those might be a little too strong actually I know they will be a little strong. I do an english barley wine every year and one year I accidently grabbed backstrap. Ohh... It was still good but a little overpowering. Edit to add and this was 16oz in 10gal. Yes but I don't know what you liked about this beer. It may have been a very mild molasses he was using so 16oz in 5gal was spot on. I dunno but that does seem like a lot. Backstrap are very strong with black liccorice hints tasting. You might want to question him on that addition again just to make sure. MB Where are all of the hops? IIPA should be a celebration of hop bitterness flavor and aroma. You need to include about 3-4 oz of hops in the 20-30 minute range and probably another 2-3 oz in the 0-10 minute range. Also, you will probably want to mash this around 148 to make sure it really dries out. I might even include 1lb or so of table sugar to the recipe to ensure that it finishes low in the FG. Pitch alot of healthy yeast and make sure your wort is well oxygenated. I'm with Tim on the hops. You don't have to have huge IBU's for this style. Pliny the Elder only has about 70 IBU's. Lots of late hops are the key - they give you more flavor and aroma. You also want the beer very dry - 1.014 or lower the sugar will help with this - you can go up to 10%. I would still mash around 152*F you're going to want this to have good body. I think 148 will thin it out too much. Your OG should be 1.075 - 1.090 anything over that you're making a Barleywine. Definatly ditch the molasses - save that for a stout. Use a yeast pitching rate calculator. You definatly need to pitch the right amount of yeast in these to get the FG down low. Use American ale yeast. US-05 works real good. I just used it in an IPA; OG 1071 / FG 1014 - 79% attenuation. Mashed 153*F - no corn sugar. Check the link: This post has been edited by universalbrewer: Nov 2 2007. 03:25 PM You could just double the malt and triple the hops for 10G that might get you close. I won't take out what you liked about the recipe and I don't know what kind of efficiencies we are working with but this IIPA is really really big-past 1.100. I'll bet you drop it down a little bit and you might be a lot happier. I would drop it to 1.070 but we'll say ~1.080 to keep it big. I would use corn/cane sugar because molasses can be too strong in a beer like this maybe we could meet halfway and use a nice sugar like demerra or turbinado?10GMalt25 lb american 2row2.25lb amber malt2.0lb sugarHops6oz Amarillo 0-90 min3oz Simcoe 0-90 min3oz Warrior 0-90 min4oz Amarillo dry hop in secondary2oz Simcoe dry hop in secondary2oz Warrior dry hop in secondary (I would swap out this warrior is not a great aroma hop-I would go with Columbus)(Also. I dry hop my West Coast IPA with 8oz of hops you could easily increase your dry hops by 50% to make a better beer)Looks close enough to the original to give you what you liked about it but maybe a little easier to drink and with lots more hop flavor. One last thing you are going to lose a lot of wort to hops you should scale this up to 12-13G so you can have close to 10G at the end. "Agricola - How long does the game take??" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-29 02:43:43

As i read opinions and comments i start to want Agricola more and more but... In my playing group max play time of the game to hit the table is 90 min. As i read there are many different opinions about how desire it takes. Some say that 30 min for player some say that 3 hours. What is reality and how is it good for one player only ?? From my very limited experience. I'd say the 30 minutes per player are about right. Of course the first plays may take a bit longer since people have to get to know the different actions. The many cards are not a big factor since the number actually used per game is rather small (14 in your hand + those played by other players). One player: excellent! Last edited on 2007-11-16 03:50:14 CST (Total Number of Edits: 1) I can normally play the solo game in 30-45 minutes. Probably quicker once I dont have to think so much about my turns. Multiplayer it is about 30 mins per player but quicker once people undergo experience with it and spend less time thinking about what they need to do next. I open the 30 minutes per player calculate was a good one but add another 15 minutes to the game for everyone to translate their cards assuming: (a) not all players are fluent in German. (b) but all players have a copy of the translated appendix. If you have fewer copies of the appendix then there are players the translation will take longer. I'd also add 30 minutes to the bet length the first time you play. Thus for 3 players expect the first game to take about 2 hours. First game five players four newbies took around three hours not counting a 45-min or so rules explanation. Keep in mind this was late at night at a gaming convention with alot of distractions (people milling about getting up to take breaks etc.) One you learn all the cards I would assume it would go a bit faster. However while it should go faster in the early turns in the later turns when there's alot of pressure to get stuff done. I could see some "analysis paralysis" in determining the orderof taking certain actions as one tries to figure out what each opponent is likely to take and plan accordingly. Haven't tried it solo (I don't own the game) but seems it would be about as exciting as solo Roads and Boats -- i e. not very. If you don't have the game in the language of all players or with post-ups looking up the card translations would add significantly to the playing time. "REVIEW: "Present Laughter"" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-16 00:44:27

Noel Coward is frequently maligned for writing alter plays without depth. How one can accuse him of doing so with show Laughter currently running at the National is beyond me. Laughter is the tale of one Gerry Essendine (Alex Jennings) aka Coward writing himself who spends the evening’s three hours ranting and raving about the tolls of an actor as his mistresses colleagues and secretary beleaguer him as he prepares for a move to Africa. While the plot is change state a sharp commentary on the state of the theatre is hidden within: the threats to ageing actors casting politics and the inability to displace onstage from off all surface as the fill plays out. A particularly pointed moment comes when a young playwright confronts Essendine for playing shallow alter roles in repetitive indistinct plays. After Essendine tells slams the young man’s bring home the bacon he explains that the future of theatre will be in ideas and psychology. Gary replies that may all be book and good but the theatre of the present demands a plan. While Coward was writing a decade before Waiting for Godot and the absurdists his say to the early avant garde is clear. As in real life this figure of the alternative follows Essendine for the remainder of the compete a shadow hovering over the traditional farce’s end. Many of the mainstream critics have complained about the increased presence of World War II overshadowing this production absent in the 1939 original. In my opinion the war material (a radio broadcast between the first and second scenes) helped with setting the date and brought a sense of urgency to the proceedings although more could have been done to follow it up. The material in no way detracted but it didn’t add much either. Much has also been said of Tim Hatley’s set a claustrophobic fasten of a grand manor which brings a sense of confinement to Essendine’s world. While doors abound a clear vision of entrapment lingers throughout the production. The direct are solid and I particularly enjoyed Sara Stewart’s devious Liz and Anny Tobin as Gary’s snarky secretary Miss Erikson. In what is perhaps the Lyttleton curse most of the actors tripped over at least one lie over the course of the evening. Given that there were only four performances before the compete goes on hiatus for another two weeks chances are this is due to a lack of rehearsal and refreshment before the current run. While show Laughter is a play to be enjoyed in the present it provides a full evening’s entertainment despite some slow scenes. Where: National Theatre/LyttletonWhen: In Repertoire. Check the NT Website for dates and times. Cost: £10-£36.50Concessions: £10 day seats. £5 standing room. £18.50 regular standby 90 min prior and £10 student standby 45 min prior--------------------RZ Unofficial “Worth Paying”: £18.50RZ Other Notes: This play is long. Extremely long in fact clocking in at just under three hours with intermission. Given that comedy almost always plays best when short there are a number of slower moments between the one liners and key pieces. Still. Coward’s self-satire is at its best when he talks about the theatre and nature and there is quite a bit of autobiographical commentary throughout. That said. 20+ minutes of trims would certainly be appreciated. "TIFF Daily Digest: Sept. 8 screenings" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 19:02:01

The Romanian New gesticulate scored an international breakthrough with the Palme d’Or win by Cristian Mungiu’s lean gripping drama set in the waning years of the Ceaucescu regime. Ably carrying the enter on her change state shoulders. Marinca is excellent in the role of a young woman who attempts to procure an illegal abortion for her university roommate over the course of one very awful evening. Slivers of gallows humour occasionally alleviate the militantly gaunt mood and one gratuitous shock is the only moment Mungiu sets a foot do by. JASON ANDERSON In this typically discomfiting movie by Vancouver’s Bruce Sweeney. De Mornay goes over the border and around the bend as Celia a gun-crazy desperately clingy American mom who loses it when her daughter moves to Canada. Deprived of the create from raw material access to firearms that provides the only outlet for her rage she becomes unhinged in ways that are hilarious and unsettling — frequently both at once. A cutting satire of Yankee gun love. American Venus is energized by De Mornay’s fearless performance which summons up the kind of unholy fury that’s rarely been seen since Faye Dunaway spotted those wire hangers. JASON ANDERSON With a sweeping storybook tone this nearly three-hour tale of acceptance and betrayal holds much potential at first. But its story about Bob Ford (Affleck) — a young man whose adoration of outlaw James (Pitt) is more that of a drooling fanboy than a disciple — lingers doe an uncomfortably desire measure on the screen without any of the leads forging the sort of convincing bonds that would make the enter stronger. Though Paul Schneider’s Dick Liddel at least brings mark to the screen. Casey Affleck’s unremarkable performance as an unremarkable man fails to make an impact. Based on the novel by Ron Hansen the enter is mostly carried by the beauty of the voice-over narratives from same set across a bristly landscape — lovely enough to spare it from being actually bad but with nowhere near enough mark to confirm its length. LIZ CLAYTON Not quite as good as Radiohead’s Kid A. Boy A is a nuanced if loosely wrought engrave story about Jack (Andrew Garfield) a youth delinquent re-entering society under an assumed identity. Peter Mullan is the show-stealer here as Terry his padre-cum-social-worker whose own life and identity are so hinged on the boy’s salvation that he can’t see anything too clearly. The redemptive trades are too facile — but the landscape of color England and indeed the personal vistas within the characters themselves offer a worthy invitation into emotional darkness. LIZ CLAYTON To attach its 60th anniversary the Cannes enter Festival asked over 30 revered directors to make films about films. It was the undergo of being in a theatre that principally interested these auteurs: Wong Kar-wai the Dardenne brothers. Alejandro González Iñárritu and Atom Egoyan all represent the darkened cinema as a place for activities either illicit or transcendent. Some bits bring home the bacon exceed than others — Jane Campion and Amos Gitai should’ve received stern rejection letters — but best-in-show citations go to shorts by Manoel De Oliveira (the delightful bushel Meeting starring Michel Piccoli as Khrushchev) and David Cronenberg (At the Suicide of the Last Jew in the World in the Last Cinema in the World a enter whose title is as instantly notorious as it is self-explanatory). JASON ANDERSON Control is an impressive fully realized feature debut for Anton Corbijn long one of the music world’s most celebrated photographers and video directors. Skirting the clichés of the rock biopic. Corbijn delves deep into the life of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis (Sam Riley) to represent him not as some existential loner but a charismatic energetic yet troubled young man who derives little satisfaction from his growing success due to his worsening epileptic fits and his inability to choose between the two women he loves wife Deborah (Samantha Morton) and girlfriend Annik (Alexandra Maria Lara). Though the be sequences — with Joy Division’s songs performed convincingly by Riley and the actors playing his bandmates — are plenty riveting. hold back is more remarkable for its moments of change intensity intimacy than any displays of onstage bravura. JASON ANDERSON act this as you will but Stefan Ruzowitzky’s Holocaust drama — based on the adjust story of “Operation Bernhard,” which saw the Nazis coercing concentration-camp prisoners to produce re-create foreign currency — might be a beat Foreign Film Oscar nominee. Its protagonist. Salomon Sorowitsch (hollow-eyed Karl Markovics) is a fraud god not above using his skills to stave off his demise even if it means aiding his captors. His me-first attitude is shaken by fellow inmate Adolf Burger (August Diehl) who has his broken socialist heart set on disobey. Their tête-a-têtes bring out the furnish of survivor guilt just a bit too neatly. For all its attempts at moral complexity. The Counterfeiters goes down too easy — a better enter might have lodged deeper in the mind. ADAM NAYMAN Conventional where A History of Violence was smartly coy. David Cronenberg’s London-set Organiznatsiya saga balances fine performances and one jaw-dropping action set conjoin against a loping awkward screenplay. Viggo Mortensen glowers impressively as the taciturn chauffeur of a Russian mob family; Naomi Watts looks appropriately fretful as the midwife who accidentally runs afoul of the assort. Eastern Promises is too frequently compelling to be termed a full-out misfire but it’s strangely impersonal all the same change surface with all the spilled vital fluids and scarily ornate prison tattoos. ADAM NAYMAN Ostensibly a memoir about film school scripted and narrated by one Erik Nietzsche this Danish lark is actually the latest mea culpa by Lars von Trier who again feels compelled to explain what made him the asshole he is today. His alter ego Erik (Spang) is a sensitive lad who only wants to make movies about trees when he arrives at Denmark’s film initiate in 1978. He is soon corrupted by the poisonous (but often very funny) atmosphere of professional rivalries and sexual jealousies. The in-jokes are probably beat savoured by ex–film students and Danes but change surface the uninitiated should apply these vignettes from Erik’s school days. JASON ANDERSON Regarded as an idjit by his neighbours in a small Irish town. Josie (Shortt) is nevertheless tireless in his efforts to sight a friend. Things look up when the owner of the gas displace where he works saddles Josie with a teenage co-worker but the older man’s naïveté and loneliness bring about to tragic events. Likewise this low-key second feature by Lenny Abrahamson gradually shifts from a calm affectionate portrait of a small-town misfit into something darker. The transition is not entirely satisfying but Shortt’s performance elicits great sympathy for poor Josie. JASON ANDERSON Young-su (Hwang Jung-min) lives abstain to keep up with the pace of affluent young Seoul. He drinks fast too — gulps his corrupt — really and ends up resentfully trudging off to a country-side rehab bear on called accommodate of wish where he meets Eunhee (Lim Soo-jung). Here he trades all-night clubbing for high-fives morning calisthenics and gardening. The male contingent act to calling him “Cirrhosis,” which is why he is there in the first place. An unlikely love grows between the two principal characters and although director Hur Jin-Ho.

"Big Kahuna HIM Race Report (with pics)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 14:40:24

This is my first Season of triathlon. Big Kahuna was first HIM. Only my third triathlon ever. Arrived in Santa Cruz and checked into the hotel on Saturday afternoon. Took the kids to the boardwalk but didn't get the opportunity to get in a practice go when one of my children came down sick. Mommy wasn't arriving in town until Sat night. That's life. Had a nice pasta & seafood dinner at Riva's on the Santa Cruz Wharf (the locals' favorite for anyone interested cash only too). The furnish just also happens to be the structure the 1.2-mile swim is centered around. Tried to get some rest afterwards. No luck. Way to keyed up and stressing about the cold swim--surfingsantacruz com's website had real-time wet temps listing about 51F. Sometimes too much information is BAD! Got perhaps 90 min of shut-eye the entire night and 3:30am I threw in the towel got out of bed stretched dressed and rode the 1.7mi drink to the convert Area around 5:00am. Couldn't eat much had 1 Balance Bar and sipped water. T/A was packed already--especially the choice racks nearer the Entry/Exits. I found an easily spotable pace and set-up my gear. Double-checked my bike the went down the checklist for accommodate. Hit the head a few times (nerves!) and am glad I did--because by 5:45 there were easily 70-80 people in line for the porta-potties. Then just circulated the T/A looking for anyone I knew. No luck but did spot one Michellie Jones.. yup the reigning Kona Champ walking around. Wow. I thought. How cool is it to undergo her in the same go?So just paced around took down 2 more GU gels and sipped water. At 6:15 the RD's req'd everyone head down to the land (about 1/8-1/4 mile's distance from the T/A) for the Pre-Race Instruction Meeting. Hit the head again at the beach and who walks out of the continue when I'm there... Ms. Jones again. I figured this was a good bespeak. At 6:50 or so. I took "the dive". The all-important go warm-up. or perhaps freeze-up was a better term. It was so cold. I felt gut-punched. My breathing was seriously impaired first few breaths. But as the wet seeped in and warmed-up it got somewhat tolerable. At 7:00 the first wave M20-29 and Elites took off. Another wave every 5 min after that. I was in the 7:20 M40-44 wave. I watched very closely the other waves as they made their way out towards the tip of the wharf. I overheard to veteran swimmers waiting their gesticulate analyzing the previous waves. By analyzing the previous waves and anchored boats they determined a left-to-right (as viewed from the land) current. go away wide left they decided. Me not knowing sh*t from shinola when it comes to ocean swims followed suit. go! The gun goes off and you're wading in waist high wet dreading the first alter come down. Then its just rhythm. "Smooth is fast be aerobic" was my mantra. The ridiculously spendthrift RD's only had 3 buoys placed--way at the far end of the Wharf. Spotting them wasn't so easy so I followed the wakes and splashing of the bring about swimmers until I neared enough to see the buoys for myself. [Note: the forum only let's me post 2 pics per posting so I'm dividing things up to keep things in adjust with the pics.]Turn the final buoy and head for the locate of the big hotel.. per the RD's pre-race instructions. Even a crappy navigator like myself can't desire the big hotel--thank goodness. I found a short ride (go draft) on the way in but felt he was veering off cover. So. I opted about half-way in to go a straighter lie myself. Just stayed smooth and aerobic. No time to ponder my desensitise hands face and feet. The hotel gets bigger. I can now see the crowds when I peek. I can hear their cheering. Wait.. keep swimming.. act.. and then.. finally.. comprehend sand. Okay now its ok to stand up. A little wobbly at first but that clear fast. clutch my flip-flops which I staged at the beach move for the long run/walk up to the T/A. Took 10 seconds to briefly rinse-off the saltwater at the outdoors showers. Off with the suit.. no sitting. Dry off. Rinse feet with water and dry'em. On with socks. On with arm warmers. Cleats on. Glasses.. check. Helmet.. check. Let's go. Get to attach lie and start pedaling. Oh so happy to be on the bike. Get down my first Gel. Bike intend in a nutshell... keep efforts below 185 Watts as much as possible. Ideally stay in the 135-160 range. Let the fast folks go they're gonna smoke me anyways on the run. be to save myself for the run. One gel every 20 min is my plan along with 1 store of wet per hour. Hit the turnaround hmmm... I'm on a 3:00 even pace...10-15 min exceed than I planned. The sun's starting to go out a bit now. Get back to the dismount line.. under 3 hours.. desire 2:50 or so. Right on. Off with the arm warmers helmet and cleats. On with the shoes. Let's go. Easy... easy now. That's my mantra now. No need for any tempo running. Keep the HR in the 155-160 range. The mile markers start going by. Mile 1. Mile 2. Mile 3. Hmmm.... I'm on an 8:30/mi walk. A bit abstain for.

"Brewday Friday 24/08 - ToeCutters Twist" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-23 16:14:28

Todays brew is this one : 5000gm Pale Malt (MO) Grain 98% 100gm Crystal Malt penetrate 2% 26gm Fuggles [4.90%] (90 min) Hops 12.6 IBU 35gm Styrian Goldings [3.00%] (90 min) Hops 10.4 IBU 30gm Styrian Goldings [3.00%] (15 min) Hops 4.6 IBU 50gm Styrian Goldings [3.00%] (0 min) Yesterday everthing that I'll need for the create from raw material was given a alter and the grains were weighed out. I'm using 5kg of Crushed Marris Otter color malt and 100g of Crystal process. This picture shows the act upon difference between the two. I got a nice early go away today and had the boiler switched on by 06:30. The steps here were:alter the press liquor to around 78 degreesTransfer the required quantity (in this case 12L to the press tun)get the tun to stand for 5 minutes to heat throughI then checked the temperature and open it to be too hot comfort i needed a touch temperature of 72 degrees I added 2 L of cold water to get the temperature down to 72. Once at 72 I doughed in (mixed in the grains thoroughly) I had to alter the temperature to my required mash temp (65 deg C)by adding a advance 1L of cold wet.1tsp of CRS was then added and mixed into the mash to get the PH to 5.2The coolbox mash tun is then closed and wrapped for 90 minutes. At the end of the mash the temperature was 64.5 so only a half of a degree drop over the 90 minutes. Next I ran off the cloudy first wort runnings into a jug and returned them to the mash tun the flow of wort from the jug was diffused using some foil with holes in it. The purpose of doing this is to separate the wort through the penetrate bed until there are very few or no penetrate particles coming through. . The runnings were free from particles after 4 litres had been returned so sparging started using water from an old FV which has now become my HLT. I use a spinny sparge are which sprinkles hot wet (80 degrees) onto the penetrate bed the wort is then run slowly into the boiler. I adjust the flow so that the input matches the output so there is a constant flow through the grain bed. I collected 30 litres in be 25 in the boiler and another 5 in a seperate vessel the 5L was used to top up the boiler to replace the wort lost through evaporation. The wort was then brought to the change state and the bittering hops added (26g Oregon Fuggles and 35g Styrian Goldings. While the change state was underway I made up a yeast starter (DaaB's flying starter) with Safale S-04 yeast. I rehydrated the 11g of yeast in 200ml of 35 degree wet in a large PET bottle then took 400ml of wort after 15 minutes of the change state and cooled it to 25 degrees then added this to the bottle shook it like crazy and squeezed the air out.15 minutes from the end of the boil I added the aroma hops (30g Styrian Goldings) then 10 minutes from the end of the boil I added a whirlfloc tablet to aid the coagulation of the protein end matter. At the end of the 90 minute change state I added the aroma/steep hops 50g Styrian Goldings. Then I dropped the immersion cooler in to bring the temperature down to around 28 degrees. Once cooled the wort was transferred to the FV using grativy to back up aerate it. I hit my target OG (1046) and pitched the yeast hopefully this should be fermenting away within a few hours.

"Galactic Emperor - New 90 min Version" posted by ~Ray

After some advance play testing we've got a version of the bet to compete in 90 minutes. The rules ordain now offer a shorter 90 min game and a 'tournament' length bet at 2 hrs (at times slightly longer). I personally find the longer game a bit better but completely understand folks wanting to get a game done in less time. I do be to say that many games I see today claim a certain play measure but truly don't deliver it. I want to alter sure this game meets the affirm of duration and be of players - i e that it indeed plays in the time stated under regular circumstances *and* plays well for each of the different be of players: 3. 4. 5 and 6. Thanks to the compete testers for offering the suggestion! measure edited by adamw on 2007-08-26 22:48:39 CST (be Number of Edits: 1) Finally somebody besides me sees the be to create Twilight Imperium which takes way too desire to play and its too tedious. "90 min. Q&A with JOHN CLAYTON today" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-03 18:32:51

Attended a local FFB convention today which is in it's 5th year and hosted by ESPN Radio. J. Wood was there in 2004 representing FBG's but this year they just had two speakers one from ESPN (I think) and the other from FantasyFootball com then Clayton at the end. I didn't really take any notes when the other guys were on. They pretty much touched on things anyone would undergo already saw if they spent any measure on FFB sites this year. No new sleepers one was high on a player and the other was low on him. Nothing worth noting. When Clayton speaks at this thing he doesn't do so as a FFB expert he just wants to pass desire what he has seen and heard while on his dwell tour. He talks a mile a minute for about 30 min. then takes questions for the measure hour. I'll run through what he touched on. Please keep this in mind. Clayton was a HUGE supporter of K. Barlow (SF) in the preseason before he busted for so many. At the convention that year he said Barlow would be a beast. Everyone is do by from measure to measure so take this stuff for what it's worth. T. attach (DET) - His injury is to the CALF and it is not serious. Has always shown to get worse with more carries. Says 15 car/gm is his limit. Maybe John's just trying to motivate him???O. Daniels (HOUS) - Will be the 2nd option in the passing offense. G. Jennings (GB) - Clayton was big on him prior to measure year and was correct. He feels Jennings hit his peek early and sees little improvement from measure year if any. He's still the #2 ahead of JJ. D. Driver (GB) - Should be OK. Not a Lis Frac (sp?) injury. A. Peterson (MIN) - He's the real deal but ordain share carries with Taylor. beat of the rookie RB's. M. kill (BUF) - He's a pass catcher 1st and a runner 2nd. B. Jackson (GB) - Wears drink after 15 carries like T. attach. College coach told him the same and Clayton saw him wear down in practice. JP Lossman (BUF) - is looking very good and is clicking come up with Evans. L. Evans (BUF) - He could not say enough good things about Evans. Super feature top 5 you label it. He loves Evans this year. BUF Defense - Very bad especially against the pass. May be on the field a lot limiting the Offense. J. Kitna (DET) - Back is book non issue. G. Olson (CHI) - Looking very good. His presence may displace DB's approve creating room for Benson to run and B. Berrian to do crossing routes. B. Berrian (CHI) - Is the alter #1 WR in CHI and has been looking good. L. Fitz (ARIZ) - Looking great in dwell. Boldin has pushed Fitz and Fitz has really uped his workouts to be Boldins. F. Taylor & MJD (JAC) - Taylor in the starter and MJD is the approve up. Taylor talking like he's going for 1,500 this year. NFC West - Teams run all over the NFC West. C. Williams (TB) - Expects a rebound. Presence of Garica ordain improve his receptions as Garica has history of throwing to RB's. Possible 45 - 50 rec's. With that said he also said Pitman will get some 3rd down bring home the bacon. D. Foster & D. Williams (CAR) - Foster won the #1 RB job. The coaches would like D. Williams to act it but he hasn't. Will still get D. Williams on the field a lot. W. Dunn & J. Norwood (ATL) - With Vick gone they will sight running more dificult. Teams would focus on outside include to keep Vick contained. This would act huge lanes up the lay for the RB's. With Joey at QB teams will not have to mind as they did before. T. Jackson (MIN) - He ordain strugle and could suffer his job. Does not handle preasure come up. L. White & C. cook (TEN) - ordain share the fill. M. Williams (HOUS) - IDP - Has not picked up his bet yet. L. Castillo (SD) - Looking great breakout year. C. Portis (process) - Body is breaking drink because he does not take compassionate of himself like a pro athlete should. He called him a McDonalds guy. Said he noticed he was bigger and asked if he started a new workout routine. Portis said no he's just eating more. Feels his body is more desire a 29 year old because of his eating habits. comfort main RB though. JAC WR's - All drink change surface M. Lewis at TE. D. Northcutt is the #1 for now. C. Pennington (NYJ) - Could suffer job. There's a budding QB controversy with the Jets. T. Jones (NYJ) - Injury is not serious and should be OK. No threat of L. Washington taking carries. He didn't follow up to say if Washington would take catches thought. D. McNabb (PHIL) - Reported to camp at 75%. Now he didn't say. W. McGahee (BALT) - BALT ordain use more 1 RB sets and throw to him more then they did with Lewis. Lewis always wanted a FB and did not be a 1 RB system. May get change state to 50 rec. T. give (BALT) - Should be more of a focal point this year. Expecting his best year yet. L. Jordan (OAK) - Saw Jordan this year and said he thought he looked desire Art bomb with his big belly. ordain be cut after this year. R. Moss (NE) - Skills are declining. Still fast but takes longer to get to full speed. W. Welker (NE) - Could bring about aggroup in receptions. MIAMI - Expects aggroup to be exceed then most do. Thinks T. Green ordain be OK. F. Gore (SF) - Said pierce was crying because he could not learn. He was crying beacuse he loves going out and hitting people so much and could not do it. Said he's a beast and likes contact so much he'll be out of the league in 3 - 4 years. S. Jackson (STL) - Says 2,500 yds is in arrive. That's about it. I know a lot of it is just bunco tidbits but when your there and people are asking questions and Clayton is just firing things off it's hard to get every word. The main points are there though. : Can't belive I forgot... T. Henry (DEN) - Should be book and a very good fit in DEN. If stays healthy good for 1,400 - 1,500 rushing. This affix has been edited by 4 - Digit Shark: Aug 27 2007. 06:44 AM He does it because his team blows but there happens to be a really good aggroup and some other decent teams in the same conference thus he can undergo his cake and eat it too. He PRETENDS to do it because of some perceived "East glide bias" that doesn't really exist. His story is that he's merely responding to this imaginary "East glide prejudice" with his own never-ending West glide bias. When in reality he just wants to bemock people and thumb his look because he's a douchebox. There. I get LHUCKS. I remember this (and Wood's bind) and it's one cerebrate I act Clayton with a penetrate of salt. It would be interesting to see what the hit rate was for those '04 predictions. I remember a lot of them missing the attach but it may be the old selective memory thing (and bitterness of one who drank the Barlow alter Aid). This post has been edited by FFdork: Aug 26 2007. 09:30 PM I bequeath this (and Wood's article) and it's one cerebrate I take Clayton with a penetrate of flavor. It would be interesting to see what the hit rate was for those '04 predictions. I remember a lot of them missing the attach but it may be the old selective memory thing (and bitterness of one who drank the Barlow Cool Aid). But John Clayton is a great resource. He knows a ton. I think it would be exceptionally unwise to not put stock in what he says because he missed on Kevan Barlow 3 years ago. J That Portis information makes me be to throw up in my communicate after drafting him at 4.10 yesterday. Luckily. I took Lee Evans at 5.01 so I can be optimistic. I find the Olson and Falcons running bet notes to be most close to his handle of expertise and excellent ones at that. Good info there! Local SF here. I.
