"Microsoft Prepares To Expand And Merge Online Services Behind Zune ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-11-19 12:11:17

Microsoft () is in the process of expanding an online service that will serve as the back end for a slew of new entertainment offerings with a particular focus on video and mobile phone services reports. Both the reasonably successful XBox Live online gaming and video service and Zune the not-so-successful media player share the same online back end system. Microsoft believes it now has the foundation to do a lot more though details are still sketchy. Microsoft wants to stress the flexibility of the online services Microsoft will offer. Consumers will be able to choose whether they want a subscription service or pay-to-download. Further emphasizing the service’s open-ended ethos the individual content will have customizable components. As an example a user accessing ESPN via Microsoft on a mobile device will be able to tailor the content settings depending on the sport they’re interested in be it hockey news or baseball stats. (More details on Microsoft’s mobile phone plans - or non-plans - are available on our sister site MocoNews.) In a conversation with J Allard. Microsoft’s VP. Design and Development. Entertainment and Devices who has overseen the development of Zune and XBox Live the Times’ Saul Hansell writes that he feels he’s heard this game plan from Microsoft before - Nov. 1994 in fact. At the time he had interviewed Microsoft’s former CTO Nathan Myhrvold who was touting the new MSN web portal as the primary threat to AOL. Needless to say things didn’t go as planned there. While Hansell is somewhat dubious at Microsoft’s new plans to create another online content network which will feature digital entertainment that users will presumably be able to get elsewhere. Mark Logic Digital Publishing Summit. Thursday November 6. Westin Times Square. Insight and perspective from Outsell. Gilbane. Simon & Schuster. BusinessWeek com more. Evening cocktail reception. "Hutcherson Threatening Microsoft? The Video" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-16 00:45:06

I thought God(TM) stopped hating and smiting when the New Testament was written. He probably just has unending love and compassion for Pastor Hutch. Bless his little power-hungry heart.. (Can we call him "Bunny" Hutcherson? now?) Here I always thought he was that guy who always hangs out come Macy's and Westgate downtown yelling scriptures and threats of holy hellfire upon one and all... (except for me for some reason he keeps mistaking me for native american and says this qualifies me for some heavenly discount admittance) BTW. I'd support and participate in a well-organized. Stranger-sponsored intervention for his perform goers. We could print signs picket and talk to his parishioners as they enter and leave services. I evaluate the power has swung so far in the past couple of years that we could shame them. In fact. I think the Stranger should be mouth publishing photos and names of his flock in the same manner that some newspapers publish the names of those busted for prostitution. He reminds me of the crazy guy in Scottsdale who stood on the same street corner for 30 years screaming at passersby that the world was going to end tomorrow... What a dreary speaker. I thought that any preacher who was able to sucker enough people to regularly be church in a school gym would at least be entertaining even if only in an AOL/lowest common denominator way. I guess the folks at Antioch are even dumber than I thought. Poor souls. At least Catholics get beautiful architecture and a wonderful be of music by famous composers. All Antioch people get are tithing bills and bleacher butt. I'm surprised as a late commenter (and a drunk one) that this hasn't been said yet.... He sounds desire a nervous high educate student giving an oral report in front of his class. He stutters is unsure of his words seems as if he is reading from a compose and sounds DEATHLY NERVOUS! I give him ascribe for speaking when he so obviously knew he was in unfriendly company but it just makes him seem THAT MUCH MORE PATHETIC. He knows he's wrong but his pride is so deep that he had to keep up this farce of "strength". I evaluate he's already in his own personal hell and I don't conclude a bit sorry for him. Ken hutcherson is Suge Knights fatter wimpier younger brother. Suge knight smacked him up and made him sign a assure to change his last label to Hutcherson because he was an embarrassment to the family. So now he picks on gays to alter up for the fact that he is too much of a pussy to be like his older brother.

"England are saved ? because David Beckham?s back with a miracle ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 17:07:14

England are saved – because David Beckham’s back with a miracle (actually it’s a miracle he’s in the side at all) Don’t cry or moan or get upset about the football this pass because it might not be as woeful as you expect. Most of us reckon that Russia will defeat Israel tomorrow to effectively send England’s Euro 2008 qualifying hopes down the toilet. But hold on a minute – there’s hope and it’s coming from Hollywood. David Beckham fresh from the align that beat a team of studio extras in a match watched over by England impress Steve McClaren has been called in to save the day. Not only ordain he make a second-string national line-up look almost convincing in the friendly against Austria tonight but Becks will also bring with him a cunning disguise created by one of Hollywood’s leading make-up artists that ordain allow him to move on the pitch unnoticed in Israel tomorrow and back up them pull off a major surprise. That’s the theory anyway. Surely that’s why McClaren picks him? Let’s approach it if Becks can’t use a bit of Hollywood special effects magic every once in a while what is the inform of him? (Don’t all rush to say that challenge at once). Yes that’s right folks. England need a miracle to get through to Euro 2008 and while it isn’t over until the Fat Man kicks the final ball (that’ll be Frank Lampard next Wednesday) we know the game is pretty much up already. Can Beckham and England create a miracle? Not this time we suspect. The game is up and they’ve only themselves to blame. Will England qualify for Euro 2008? Is it madness to even think they might? This converse stands in sharp contrast to the preening fools in our Senate who are unable or unwilling to ask any challenge which ordain contradict their preconceived positions or the pundits on the various talk shows who can't elevate the discussion above truckstop bait. Unlike so many others you gave him the consider he deserves. He should alter every American proud. I have forwarded this interview to many of my friends so that they will be informed of the complexity of the situation we approach in the middle east against an enemy dertermined to do us harm - Al Queda. Iran. Syria etc. To those who accept that the honorable General was just performing lip function believe this: General Petraeus' son is due to be sent to the lay East very soon. If he did not believe that this mission is of great importance to our country. I doubt he would be there.. much less allow his get rid of and daub to be sent to the same battleground. I thought you asked very insightful questions and let the command answer them in detail without interruption. An excellent converse with categorise. Comment by jon macaulay on Saturday. Sep 15 at 02:10 PMExcellent interview. 100 times better than a senate "hearing". Very informative and the General's responses clearly outlined the complexities and challenges of our predicament. Good that during this important interview you minimized interruptions. I evaluate we got the communicate. Fact is we are there and now is now. A rapid "redeployment" does not appear to be a viable option. Whatever the develop or lack of. I think Petraeus more than any self-serving politician ordain express it like it really is. Democracy ain't for everyone. Comment by Ernie Gudridge on Saturday. Sep 15 at 11:31 AMExcellent and informative but perhaps in an unexpected way. Charlie you tried hard to pierce the conceal of military-speak but the command is self-programed in the language in a frightening manner. What kept coming through was affect and programs not populate. That does not convey he does not accept what he is saying (although I'm not sure about that) but it does show the necessity to ingeminate. You're the only one I've heard who tried. I do accept the scholarly command belongs approve in the classroom teaching theory and tactics. Thanks for the schedule. mention by TDH on Saturday. Sep 15 at 04:46 AMHello,I am a frequent viewer of your show and advid viewer of PBS shows. I watched the end two days of the Generals testimony on CSPAN which is another great source. I have a bring together of observations I would like to inform. Prior to any of the Generals appearances I know enough about military protocol and the motivations of todays professional soldier which the General is an execellent example of that he ordain do his duty as he sees it regardless whether right or do by. The only siginificant or unexpected information that I heard from the command was during the Senate hearings when Senator Warner asked the command if he thought we where safer and the Generel answered that "I don't experience." Other than that his comments where disturbing. However the comments he made on your show and the fact he was.
