This post is for those who got do by information on their Green Card - EAD,485 & AP documents. Be sure to check twice if all information on GC documents are change by reversal. My wife got her 485. AP and EAD receipts and all of them had incorrect last name. One earn was dropped from the last name. Here are few options available to dress this name or use some alternate method. When we went for our touch printing appointment we informed the command and changed her last name to the change by reversal one in her 485 application. We received her EAD separate which had the incorrect last name. Looks like I have two options availablea) Re apply - Send original EAD separate back to USCIS to get the problem fixed. As per estimates this would take minimum of 90 days b) Use do by EAD card with Passport which has correct label on it. This was one suggestion from immigration attorneys and wish that works with out any issues. I'm inclining to option 'b' as in one year I anyway had to re-create EAD card. The big worry we had is that if my wife who is on H4 visa can get SSN with wrong label on EAD separate (EAD card is the create of employment authorization to get SSN number) ? There is no need to worry and this situations we ordain get SSN number irrespective of names spelled wrong on EAD card. The first question we were asked at social security office if if names were change by reversal on EAD. They put the alter names on SSN application and included wrong name on other names. EAD & H-1B for same employer is fine both are treated separately. EAD given to you means you can take back up job whilst comfort working for original employer. Only after 180 days of receipt notice go out can you change employers legally without revoking your I-485 application. be up AC21. H1-B is tied to original employer ONLY unless you displace it to your new employer. That is if they do not object applying for it. Remember that it has to be the same job description for both H1-B portability and EAD. If you go for citizenship at the interview they will question as to why you left the petitioning employer; as you I-485 is based on a "future job" with said employer. That could get a little uncomfortable for you at the converse. If you intend to never act up citizenship then that's okay!This is advise on what I've been told and construe.
