reckless fanboys with no ordain cater or self control
early iPhone adopters. You've certainly heard by now that your. Now that you've got it the question is what will you do with it? We're guessing that most customers ordain use the credit towards something that costs more that a hundred bucks (softening the financial breathe out for Apple - if you could change surface label it that). What's your decision? iPod nano? Slick new keyboard? Maxed out Mac Pro and cinema show? The comments are change state. While we're on the subject bequeath that the deadline for the full $200 affirm is 9/19.
2. I ordain buy a sub-$100 accessory not made by Apple from the Apple hold on. I'm thinking some good earphones with microphone and add.. once something desire that exists.*to all critics. I know there are sets out there that indeed "exist" but I'm looking for all-round quality PLUS the button to hold back telecommunicate and songs.
3. Umm... Nothing because I be in Canada bought my iPhone in Buffalo and use it as a wifi iPod (well. I ran the SIM open software using Erica's GUI measure night but I won't have a valid Canadian SIM to put in it for a couple of days; that's another story). I guess this is the price one pays for taking such a assay. I'm disappointed but that's the way things are. My original plan was to pick up an iPod Touch for my wifi with the discount.
4. I'm planning on saving exploit for Leopard as well. go on Apple devs - hurry up and finish it already!!! :)
5. "the financial blow for Apple - if you could even call it that"Let's be really really generous and say that out of the million populate that bought iPhones in the last 3 months half of them are eligible for and will get the store credit. 500,000 x $100 = $50 MILLION dollars. Even Apple might feel that. As for me. I bought a refurbished 4 GB model right when it came out. 10 days before the price displace. That qualified me for the price protection ($150 in my case) which arrived approve on my credit separate yesterday. That makes me the very very happy owner of a $249 iPhone. :-)The funny thing is there are probably more than a few populate who bought one on day 1 sold it for a profit. *and* ordain get the $100 credit from Apple if they hung on to the original receipt. (Though if I were paying over retail for a phone I'd certainly bespeak the original receipt.)As for what will I do with the money--nothing in particular though I am very pleased with how Apple handled this whole thing and ordain act to be a happy customer.
6. "My original plan was to choose up an iPod Touch for my wifi with the reject." Haha. My original intend was to pick up the iPod comprehend for my WIFE. While I like technology. I don't compassionate about my network THAT much. :)
7. Sorry for replying to my own post but I just read other story about how Apple will send you an SMS as move of the credit affect. Very clever.
8. Actually I wanted a $100 itunes credit but I can't be to buy a itunes gift card for myself with the hold on credit.
9. I ordain use for Leopard airport extreme (be for timemachine wireless backup) and apple tv. All of which I had planned on getting anyway but this $100 off makes it a bit more attractive. Oh and while we are on the subject isn't it funny how apple finally got this rebate available after ALL the new iPod gear hits the stores. Coincidence? I think not.
11. By Apple using a store credit instead of change makes it look desire they are giving out $50M but it is less than that considering a lot of people never activated their phone through AT&T and Apple is getting some of the money back anyway when you buy from them.
12. Used it to pay for half of my daughters birthday show for next week an ipod nano.
13. I was thinking car charger for the iPhone and the new A/V dock connector cables for watching iPhone video content on TV when I travel. I figure I should put my $100 "acquire" approve into the phone that brought it to me. Wonder why Apple's not lettting people buy iTunes cards with the credit?
14. Is there an expiration on the credit? Has anyone used it to by AppleCare for iPhone?
15. I'm going to buy a Mac Mini once the next OSX is released.. do we have a date yet?
16. I just used it to purchase a 4Gb iphone for the wife :) She has a TMobile Dash.. what a piece of junk^H^H^H^Hwork that is (WM6 with it's cute 'go away' menu pygmy keyboard etc.).
17. From Apple's terms and conditions: ".. customers must refer requests between September 13. 2007 and November 30. 2007". NOT September 19 as this article says. Also to brian those who bought an iPhone and sold it (for acquire or not) will not be able to get the discount since you must undergo the iPhone in your possession and activated to a telecommunicate number known by you to receive the text message approve from Apple before receiving the rebate. No one who sold their iPhone will be able to get the rebate. Apple did a nice job with this...
20. Saving it for Leopard.. unless a really good pair of in-ear headphones with mic and button make an appearance before then.
