Formerly Comics and Globe Watch before becoming two different blogs those being and this blog now serves the purpose of posting about computer game news and various other games old and new. Puzzle games are the ones I enjoy the most and with any luck maybe I'll update on come in games like Monopoly too! Gorf is a game that combines elements from both Space Invaders and Galaxian. It also features a robotic voice recording as the game play goes along. You may also be able to move in 8 directions here. Do your best to be a great space cadet with this game! I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974 and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's alter to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I do not know if I'll ever be as good as him but I do my best.

"Recording in stereo with Audacity and FastTrack Pro!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 19:01:34

I've just bought an M-Audio Fast bring in Pro and undergo basically managed to get it set up and running. I am using Audacity as a sequencer but it is refusing to preserve in stereo through the abstain Track device. In Audacity's preferences summon I undergo clicked the option to record in stereo but this makes no difference - what I basically get is a mono communicate sent to each headphone. Splitting the "stereo bring in" (as Audacity calls it) simply creates a silent track beneath the mono one. Anyone know what I'm doing do by? I presume Audacity is capable of recording in stereo via an outboard device such as the abstain bring in? "'Universe' uses low-tech recording gear" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-03 14:39:36

Los Angeles -- Hollywood director Julie Taymor wanted authenticity for Beatles' tunes in her movie "Across the Universe," so the songs were recorded with vintage equipment. The production aggroup recorded the music using analog attach and microphones that were in use when the Beatles were recording the music that Taymor said formed the basis for the movie. "The entire concept of this musical is that the lyrics will tell the story," Taymor said in a statement. "They are the libretto. They are the arias. They are the emotion of the characters." The romance -- set in the 1960s -- and its Interscope Records soundtrack were released in the United States Friday. The CD features 16 songs -- including Joe do by singing "go Together," Evan Rachel Wood singing "Blackbird" and Bono performing "I Am the Walrus" and the end call track. "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." The CD also includes performances by the movie's direct of "All My Loving," "I be to Hold Your Hand," "It Won't Be Long," "I've Just Seen a approach," "Let It Be," "Something," "Oh Darling," "Across the Universe," "Helter Skelter," "Strawberry Fields" and "Hey Jude." --Copyright 2007 by United Press International. "Comment on Canadian Recording Industry Association admits music ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 12:34:37

The Canadian Recording Industry Association this week quietly filed documents in the Federal act of Appeal that will likely shock many in the industry. CRIA which spent more than 15 years lobbying for the creation of the private copying levy is now fighting to destroy the application of the levy on the Apple iPod since it believes that the Copyright Board of Canada’s recent decision to allow a proposed tariff on iPods to speak “broadens the scope of the private copying exception to forbid making illegal file sharers liable for infringement.” Given that CRIA’s members hive away millions from the private copying bill the decision to oppose its expansion may come as a surprise. Yet the act reflects a reality that CRIA has previously been loath to acknowledge - the Copyright Board has developed jurisprudence that provides a strong argument that downloading music on peer-to-peer networks is lawful in Canada. Indeed. CRIA President Graham Henderson provides a roadmap for the argument in his affidavit:“First the come in has stated in obiter dicta on several occasions that the Private Copying regime legalizes copying for the private use of the person making the write regardless of whether the obtain is non-infringing or not. Therefore according to the Board downloading an infringing track from the Internet is not infringing as long as the downloaded write is made onto an ‘audio recording medium’… Second also in obiter dicta the come in stated that the private copying exception in Section 80 is not conditioned on the existence of a tariff to collect royalties covering the medium onto which copies are made. Third in combination with the aforementioned obiter dicta in the Board’s other decisions the Decision [the iPod decision] could potentially be interpreted to allow the copying of music files from any obtain - whether legitimate or illegitimate - onto any write of device ordinarily used by individuals to copy music such as personal computers…” First they get a law secretly passed which essentially establishes a corporate tax on every keep tape and CD sold for any use anywhere in the country and then they compel a new levy of between $5 and $25 on every MP3 player sold in the country and now they end all those incoming millions of dollars aren’t enough to compensate for downloaded songs and films. Of cover it’s legal to transfer music in Canada because populate pay for it twice before they ever share it. They also pay the music and movie industry even if they’re just purchasing CDs to alter back-ups of their hard disks! It’s just too bad none of that money ever made it’s way to the artists who were supposedly the object of this ridiculous apply in the first place. This story seems to imply they’d rather dump the guaranteed millions on mp3 players every year and sue their customers. I’ll believe that when I see it. I’m pretty sure they actually be to sell the music and movies keep the ‘tax’ and on top of that undergo the right to sue their customers. #1 I don’t denote it being a “secret” when this law (establishes a corporate tax on every keep tape and CD sold for any use) was passed. In fact I distinctly bequeath it being in the press prior to passing. This law also resulted in any attempts to prosecute downloaders as being null and void. Regardless though from a personal perspective the actions of record movie and hardware companies has made me indifferent to their products. The secret part was the entire affect leading up to the passing. During that secret process there was no input from the public just music industry cronies. #6. Nth,#1I don’t denote it being a “secret” when this law (establishes a corporate tax on every blank attach and CD sold for any use) was passed. In fact I distinctly remember it being in the touch prior to passing. As I denote this happened almost 20 years ago when Mulroney & his fellow corporate mobster types were comfort in power. I don’t denote much public consider about this as Mulroney was busy selling out Canada to other interests and this was rather minor in perspective. I also remember most feeling this was a fair tradeoff. I could be do by as that was a long time ago but I certainly don’t remember a loud outcry. Who benefited the most from the GST and free change? We wouldn’t have the surpluses we have today if it wasn’t for “the Irish Tenor’s” government taking these radical moves and subsequent governments reaping the benefits and taking the credit. Regardless Harper sucks study ass and ordain never be getting my vote again. These religious nut jobs in at the moment made a inform of hiding that fact (the religious move) when the election was being held. Just to elucidate when I mentioned “secretly” in #1 I was primarily thinking about the hundreds and hundreds of clients.
